Promoting
Events for Interfaith Understanding
The Interfaith Network of North America (INONA) is being
designed as a comprehensive portal for the most current listing of all
inter-faith, intra-faith and cultural events being planned by of mosques,
Islamic organizations, churches, synagogues, temples, schools, colleges,
universities, seminaries, think-tanks or study groups.
Such events
often come to light through various email groups or by word of mouth. Unless
you subscribe to lot of such e-groups, you are likely to miss some very
interesting opportunities to learn about different faiths and cultures.
This
web site has been designed to begin gathering information on relevant events
and to invite individuals and organizations involved with interfaith dialogs and
related educational programs to join us in this effort to disseminate this
information more widely. All events designed to promote a better understanding
of different faiths and cultures can be posted on this portal.
This portal is open
for posting of events by people of all faiths represented by the symbols in the
banner above and listed here in that order: Buddhism, Baha'i, Indigenous
Traditions, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Shintô,
Zoroastrianism, Taoism, Sikhism. Others involved in advancing interfaith
or intra-faith understanding may also post events.
We invite you
to register your organization as a member of INONA. You will be able to create
a user name and password that would allow you access to the members only area,
and upon approval by the moderator, you will be able to post your events to
this site. There is no cost for the registration.
Thank you for
your interest and participation.
